An early 19th century ladies Portuguese
An early 19th century ladies Portuguese rosewood centre pedestal vanity table. With an oval cheval mirror on barley twist supports, a single drawer, acanthus carved frieze, raised on a centre pedestal formed as a cockerel over four scrollwork feet terminating on lion masks, 1m 28cm high. Provenance; Insured in 1940 by the present vendors family as a 17th century ladies walnut toilet table, purportedly bought from a Country House sale at Lambeth Palace prior to that.
