A restored Chelsea octagonal saucer with fable scene painted by J. H. O'Neale 'The young kite and his mother' Depicting the sick bird laying in a nest with his mother perched nearby on a branch within an extensive landscape under a double red ring border, with further scattered sprigs and the rim edge in brown enamel. Unmarked, c1755, 13.5cm wide. Along with the eighteenth century source engraving J. Kirk Fecit.
